Our goal is to be informative and disruptive, in the most positive sense of that word. The various "isms" that are presented here are rarely considered together and some, like classism, are almost invisible concerns. In this site we focus attention on the behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs directed to people of socially devalued categories - in other words, on the stuff that makes up so much of the daily experiences of older people, women, people of color, gays and lesbians, and poor people. From the Psychology Department at Elmira College This site is a creation of Dr. Diane Maluso and her students. These
pages are in flux. Some areas are well-developed. Others await inspiration
